It’s officially Summer, complete with a heatwave and drought. I’ve been able to go to Wallis Sands in Rye, have dinner with friends, visit a friends Summer camp, go swimming in a beautiful lake in Wolfeboro NH, and have a barbeque.

I have been enjoying this beautiful weather. I’ve been able to sit out on my deck most days, and take in the fresh air and sunshine. There is something so relaxing listening to the birds and enjoying a nice breeze. My cat Mowgli has been hanging outside with me, chasing bugs and chipmunks, and lazing in the sun.
I'm sitting here with a travel business to my name, and all I can think about is how to put the last week's events into some sort of meaningful context, and I'm struggling.
I avoid any political comment as a matter of course. It's just not my thing, and I have issues with all sides. Perhaps that's because I grew up in a very diverse community, and thought that's how it was everywhere. |
